Fine aroma “Arriba” organic cacao has one of the highest values in the market. Much of this is due to the fact that it is the result of peasant small scale family farming.

One of the first sustainable practices of PACARI was guaranteeing stable and fair prices for the national supply of cacao. This acknowledged the historical quality of the product and promoted small scale family farming, passed down from generation to generation.

PACARI constantly provides certifications to our small-scale farmers so they can generate good practices in the management of their crops. This ensures the quality of fine aroma cacao in an organic, sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.

Biodynamic Crops

Biodynamic agriculture is practice whose foundation is to consider crop, farm and land as a single complex organism that works together.

 

Around this philosophy, we have generated and adapted practices that cover all aspects of agriculture: ecological, economic and social. Practices such as manure management, composting, use of biodynamic preparations and other specific actions are taken to organize the landscape and rotate the crops. It also implements the use of legumes, green manure, linked crops, and influences of some plants on others. From padding to the care of wildlife and medicinal herbs, these are some of the topics covered by this new agricultural methodology.
